My Story:

My family’s love has allowed for me to grow as a person – both mentally and physically. With their support, I have received the honors of a National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, and other top academic awards. I grew as an athlete, transferring from swimming due to a medical issue, to tennis and track starting in eighth grade. I have participated and achieved positions in various regional tournaments, received a state ranking in tennis, and ran varsity track. I received all league honors in both sports. My highest accomplishment, however, is volunteering at Pakistan’s Shaukat Cancer Memorial Hospital and Research Centre as a foreign volunteer play therapist. I witnessed the suffering of impoverished, cancer-stricken children. After meeting these children, I plan to start more fundraisers and receive a degree in biomedical engineering in hopes of saving children from the trauma of chemotherapy.
