My Story:

I have been blessed with parents, coaches and teammates who support me as I reach for and work for my own dreams and goals, not just in athletics but also in and out of school. My love of running has led me to compete in cross country and track throughout high school. The highlight of this was winning a state championship in cross country with my team. From this experience, I gained a new perspective on teamwork, perseverance and commitment. But the most important thing I have learned from high school athletics is the reason they exist: because we love to compete, push ourselves and be a part of a team and community. If voted the SAMMY MVP, I will choose the Make-a-Wish foundation as the recipient of the “got milk?” campaign’s generous donation. Through this organization, I know many kids will be able to do something they love.
