My Story:

I feel so honored to be a SAMMY’s winner that I could not ask for anything more. I’d like to focus instead on a worthwhile cause. Ride-A-Wave sponsors special days for kids with special needs.

Besides schoolwork, I can safely say that sports engulf my life. From football to soccer to tennis practice, I spend most of my time playing sports. Sometimes, I wish I could sit at home; however, the lives of these physically challenged children poignantly remind me about the beauty and excitement that sports symbolize.

These children taught me to appreciate the athletic gifts that I possess. Instead of worrying about winning or losing, I focus on how fun it is just to be able to play sports. They have reminded me that it does not matter whether you win or lose, because you have won by the sheer act of participating. Support Ride-A-Wave and help even more kids become winners.
